The Spartan Sound is our most visible performance group at Sun Valley High School, participating in marching band competitions, local parades, and our varsity football games during the Fall Season.

*Parents/Guardians will need to drop students off at the start of the Parade Route and pick them up at the end**Attire is Summer Uniform*

September 20 – mini camp & Union County Marching Band Preview at Marvin Ridge HS (all day event)

*Mini Camp is at SVHS in the morning, then travel to Marvin Ridge for Preview performance late afternoon/evening

OCTOBER 25 – CONTEST @ PORTER RIDGE

 

Christmas Parade Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Nov from 5pm-7pm. 

*Parades are long and the Band needs to have the stamina to make it through the route. We will be working on memorizing the music and marching around the parking lot to ensure all members can complete the parade route. Parades can last between 30 minutes to 1 hour from step-off, depending on length and pace*

November 23 – Monroe Christmas Parade

November 26 – Thanksgiving Eve Parade Charlotte

November 30 – Indian Trail Christmas Parade

MLK Parade Rehearsals TBD

January 17 – MLK Parade (Monroe or Charlotte)
